Esiste una documentazione molto completa, sia per l'installazione che per le caratteristiche d'uso di ALCE. Il Manuale Utente è interattivo, se aperto con  Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat Pro.

FAQ / AIUTO PER IL LOGIN, ACQUISTO, INSTALLAZIONE / RISOLUZIONE DI PROBLEMI

• SOLO AGGIORNAMENTO. Non riesco a fare login. Quando provo ad inserire la mia email non succede niente. Il prezzo di aggiornamento non passa a €14.
  Nota bene: i campi sono case-sensitive (l'uso delle maiuscole fa differenza: "marco" e "MARCO" sono nomi diversi) e non si possono usare spazi bianchi.
  
  
• E' un problema far coesistere entrambe le versioni (ALCE1 e ALCE2)?
  Tecnicamente: no, ma è una pratica sconsigliata - onde evitare confusione consigliamo di rimuovere ALCE1.
  
  
• Voglio cancellare ALCE1 ma non lo trovo nella finestra dell'Adobe Extension Manager (AEM)
  E' normale, solo le applicazioni installate con AEM possono essere rimosse con AEM. Per disinstallare ALCE1 occorre, manualmente, cancellare la cartella ALCE1 situata in Photoshop CS5/Plug-ins/Panels/ oppure Photoshop CS4/Plug-ins/Panels.
  
  
• Nella cartella Panels c'è solo ALCE1 e non ALCE2
  E' normale: AEM installa i pannelli in una diversa cartella.
  
  
• Per installare ALCE2, copio la cartella ALCE ma non succede nulla.
  ALCE2 si installa con Adobe Extension Manager (AEM). Solo l'installazione per PC/Windows per CS4 è manuale.
  
  
• Usavo ALCE con CS3. Ora ho installato ALCE2 per CS5 e nel menu Scripts non vedo ALCE.
  ALCE2 per CS5 esiste come Pannello: si trova nel menu Finestra - Estensioni.
  
  
• Ho installato ALCE seguendo le istruzioni ma non lo trovo nel menu.
  Dopo l'installazione occorre riavviare Photoshop. Controllate di avere abilitate le estensioni/pannelli nelle preferenze di Photoshop. Aprite le Preferenze, selezionando il tab Plug-ins e spuntate "Carica pannelli estensione" e "Consenti connessione  delle estensioni aInternet". La seconda opzione è utile all'auto-aggiornamento. Non sarà sicuramente il vostro caso, ma alcune versioni pirata di Photoshop di solito bloccano l'accesso ad internet al programma stesso.
  
  
• MAC ONLY / I installed ALCE for CS4 on Mac but I can see it in the menu or it don't work.
  Probably you have installed ALCE for CS4 using Adobe Extension Manager for CS5. For a correct install select the icon for CS4 and click with the right mouse button and select "open with AEM CS4"
  
  
• PC ONLY / I try to install ALCE on CS5 but nothing happen.
  To install with Adobe Extension Manager you must be logged as an administrator. To log as an administrator right click on the Adobe Extension Manager CS5.exe application and in the contextual menu choose “Run as administrator”. See the install manual for further info and screenshots.
  
  
• PC ONLY / I need to install ALCE on CS4 but I can't find the AEM install file.
  ALCE2 on CS4 must be installed manually.
  To install copy the entire ALCE2_CS4 folder in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Plug-ins\Panels
  Refer to the manual for further instruction.

• PC ONLY / I can't copy the ALCE2_CS4 folder in C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Plug-ins\Panels
  It may happen that when you drag&drop the folder, Windows doesn't allow you to do that (it gives you no error, it simply doesn't do what it's supposed to do). The workaround is to manually create in the C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Plug-ins\Panels a new folder called ALCE2_CS4; then copy each individual file, one at time, from the downloaded and unzipped ALCE2_CS4, to the newly created ALCE2_CS4 folder. Mind you, if you copy all the files at once, it doesn't work: copy them one at time.
  
  
• Adobe Extension Manager opens and: nothing happens; or the window is empty;
  double-clicking the panel makes nothing happen.
  Chances are that AEM is corrupt. Try downloading from here and installing it again

  A fresh Photoshop reinstall may help in some cases.
  
  
• PC ONLY / I can't copy the ALCE2 folder, nothing happens when I drag & drop it.
  Some buttons in the extension ("Batch", "?") don't work.
  Check if your user has the permission to read/write either the Photoshop/Plug-ins/Panels folder, the ALCE2 folder and all of its content.
  When you download the installer, please check the Internet Explorer "Internet Options", security tab (even if you use a different browser!) Set them as follows:
  
  
  
  Then in the "Custom level" button, set the "Launching applications and unsafe files (not secure)" as "Enable (not secure)".
  
  
  
  If they are different, set them accordingly, restart Internet Explorer and download the installer again.
  
  
• The panel doesn't appear when launched / it doesn' work.

  Now Browse for folder and select the ALCE2 folder in the Photoshop/Plug-ins/Panels/ Check the "Always allow" green button:
  
  
  
  Try restarting Photoshop.
