Our concept of still life - transfer experiences and methods

We do everything we can to transfer our experiences and work philosophies from one field to the next. this way we were able to gain important references in different sectors.

A mix of methods

Our main rule is to not get stuck in the past. We do everything we can to translate methodological experiences gained in one field, to the next one. This way we managed to collect many references in different important fields; from the technological with Manfrotto, Gitzo and Dopplemayr, to art still life for FMR, and the publishing sector for Mondadori and even in the food shooting where we won a prize for the best photography in Italy in 2007.

On-site shootings and "impossible shootings"

Over the time we specialized in complex on-site shootings. For example, lighting for a glossy surface can be relatively easy to do in a studio but it becomes much harder on-site, especially in difficult situations, like shooting a car. another example is overhead shooting or multiple shoots images.

How do we work

We work with Hasselblad multishot digital back at 16 bit. This tool was necessary to emphasize the characteristics of the materials. By connecting to the computer we were able to monitor even the smallest shading in the picture together with being constantly connected to the client via web.

Gitzo High Tech | The glamour of carbon, titanium and magnesium

Gitzo by Roberto BiganoShooting tools used everyday in your profession is definitely an important challenge. Even more when you are talking about a brand like Gitzo, that many of us have grown up with and is a synonym of state of the art tripods. Showing the material and transmitting the esthetics and the function is anything but simple.

Manfrotto in backlight

I was asked to produce, together with the regular catalogue pictures, two sets of pictures. The first was supposed to have a strong graphic impact so to emphasize the aesthetics and functionality of the products; the second one needed to summarize, in a single image the different groups of products. The project included a backlight shot, on a white glossy reflective surface. Black steel and aluminum objects, however, are not very suitable for backlight shots.
