The amazing, extraordinary story of "Wonderful Mistakes"

During our personal career, some extraordinary opportunities come our way, but we need to recognize their value before being able to catch them. Even chance rewards those who notice the potential.

This is an amazing story. The story of a lazy assistant who misplaced a box full of film, outside, exposed to the weather, the heat, and the bugs. The negatives stick together, they transform; dirt, insects, and other unknown particles become part of the gelatins. The transfiguration of the original details creates new "original images" with new meanings.

Many that see these photos have a hard time believing it is the result of pure chance. It is unconceivable. Nevertheless, what I believe to be the most important skill of a photographer is the the ability to distinguish, among many shots, the one that has a real value. In this case the same principle applies. Even I, at first, thought that it was a disaster and was about to throw them away but my curiosity saved me; I almost threw these treasures in the trash!
