Monastery of Padula⎮Paliotto of the main altar made of chalk powder, motherpearl and lapislazuli

I took this shot at sundown, with natural light coming from the windows, and with a 6.5 seconds exposition time at f.11. The resulting look of the material, to me, is extraordinary and you can perceive the chalk powder, the mother-of-pearl and lapis lazuli. The result is even more remarkable because the light used was weak and very soft.

Padula, Carthusian Monastery of Saint Lorenzo.
Antependium of the main altar, made of chalk powder, mother-of-pearl and lapis lazuli in 1686 and designed by Gian Domenico Vinaccia.
