Wonderful mistakes | violin

During our personal career, some extraordinary opportunities come our way, but we need to recognize their value before being able to catch them. Even chance rewards those that have eyes to see potential.

This is an extraordinary story. The story of a lazy assistant who misplaces a box with a lot of transparencies, outside, exposed to the weather, to the heat, to bugs. The negatives stick together, they transform, dirt, insect parts and other unknown particles become part of the gelatins.
This transfiguration of the original details creates new "original images" with new meanings.

Many of those that see this work have a hard time believing it is the result of pure chance. It is unconceivable. Nevertheless, what I believe to be the most important skill of a photographer is the the ability to being able to distinguish, among many shots, the one that has real value. In this case the same principle applies. Even I, at first, thought that it was a disaster and was about to throw it away but my curiosity saved me, I would have thrown a treasure in the trash!
