Looking at this surreal field of Bugattis, so serene and elegant, it is hard to believe that a few minutes prior they were roaring up and down the hills of the Valle d'Orcia. After arriving at the Cinzano Estate, they stopped to rest under the bright sun or in the fresh shadow of an old tree. A record long table in the shadow of two rows of cypresses welcomed the pilots, dusty and tired. An extraordinary Brunello di Montalcino fills the glasses and the notes of a banjo, a sax, a trumpet, a trombone and a double-bass fill the air; the dixie music, exhilarating more than the wine, carries us away through time and space.
